April at 34 Weeks

These pictures were taken at the baby shower. She technically is 33 weeks and 5 days.

Baby Shower

This past Saturday was our second or actually third baby shower. We got a lot of nice things. The key things being our baby car seats. The babies would have to stay at the hospital forever if we didn't have them :) The shower was held at my mom's house. We had a lot of people show up and had a lot of fun. I actually attended this one so that I could help April out with things. It's a little too hard for her to open the big boxes by herself.

33 Week Ultrasound

This was done on January 20th. Both babies are doing very well still. If you look closely, you can tell that Luke (on the left) is sucking his thumb.

Stress Test Today

This morning was our first fetal stress test monitoring. It's standard procedure to start these at 32 weeks. Since we are having twins we couldn't do it at our Doctor's office so we had the test up at Oakwood Hospital. I'm glad we could go there rather then Wyandotte since it is a lot closer and we need to go up there twice a week.

It took a while to figure out where in the hospital we needed to be, but once we found the place things moved along fairly quickly. The test takes about 20 minutes to run. It was a really nice experience for both April and I as it was the first time we have actually heard the babies heartbeats. The babies hearts are working great and responded as expected to activity.
